Off to a Great Start

Hello to all 714 of you who have registered at Savvydollar.org since we went live only about 45 days ago. I'm pleasantly surprised at the level of traffic and the sense of community that has begun to form on the site in such a short time.

I want to take a few minutes each month to send out a short note to you all, let you know about upcoming deals and new site features, and maybe even tell you about some of the deals you may have missed if you haven't been to the site in a while.

Special Thanks:
First off, I'd like to offer a special thanks to Faye Prosser. Many of you have come to this board because of the referral from Faye's "smartspending_nc" mailing list. Faye continues to be a valuable resource on this forum.

Second, I'd like to thank Sue Stock. Sue tirelessly compiles lists of the week's best deals from the weekly grocery and drug store fliers and pairs them with current coupons. You can find her weekly deals at the top of the "Grocery Deals" and "Drug Store Deals" areas.

Site Features:
Want to see what's new since your last visit?
It's easy. When you log onto SavvyDollar, click "View Posts Since Last Visit" in the upper right. I use this feature daily to stay in tune with what is being discussed on the forum.

Need an RSS Feed?
For those of you who like to use "RSS Feeds" on your Google homepage or other reader, it is now easy to add SavvyDollar. Just click the orange "RSS" button at the bottom of the front page. This allows you to see a list of the latest postings right from your google home page.

Why Come to SavvyDollar?
For those of you receiving this e-newsletter directly, you are likely already familiar with the benefits of staying tuned-in. However, should you want to forward this email to a friend (hint, hint), you can let them know what they will find at savvydollar.org.
  • A friendly community of North Carolina locals sharing great deals
  • Weekly lists of local sales matched with current coupons
  • Tips for cutting living expenses and saving more money

Have Suggestions?

I love getting user feedback and suggestions and have implemented many of them into the SavvyDollar forum. For example, the "Have it, Need it, Swap it" forum and several others were added because of user suggestions. If you have a suggestion, you can email me at dan@savvydollar.org.
